4 Weeks of BBG 1.0

I have officially completed 4 weeks of the pre training workouts of bbg!  Here's how they went:

Week 1: Legs (didn't know what I was doing therefore I didn't really do the whole work out), did arms and abs, and full body

Week 2: Legs (went on a hike and counted that as legs), did arms and abs and full body 

Week 3: Legs (only did half a workout in the morning), did arms and abs and full body

Week 4: Legs (did the whole workout! First time! So hard!), arms and abs (first time reeeally pushing myself and killing it), didn't do full body

I can't believe it's already been 4 weeks! I honestly don't feel very different or that much stronger.  Although I have noticed that my arms do seem to be somewhat stronger and I can do more than I realized.  However, I really need to step up the LISS (low intensity sustained state) cardio and really be active every day instead of only doing the 28 min Kayla workouts three days a week.  I think that will help me. 

Food has been generally good.  Definitely not perfect at all, haven't had a perfect week, but I've realized how eating more healthily isn't really that hard.  It takes a little more effort and prep, but tastes so yummy.  I ate things like chicken in a salad, pad thai, overnight oats, whole wheat and oatmeal pancakes, and for some reason I can't think of what else... I think that has been more just the past couple of weeks, not all four weeks. 

I'll be honest, I dread the Kayla workouts, they are HARD.  And even when I'm done I don't feel that exercise high, but I know for sure that I can get into an exercise habit and crave it, but I am still not there yet.  I hover between wanting to give up but wanting to stick with it (hence no full body on the weekend).  But of course I am glad I do them, I'm just waiting to want to do it more and to enjoy it more.

I am going to switch things up though and do the Kayla workouts M, W, F since they're much shorter than LISS and I have less time on those days.  Plus, I convinced my husband to do the workouts with me! I think it will be easier having someone to do them with and it will be easier to be accountable. Then I will do the LISS on T, Th, Sa, because I have more time on those days for the longer workout.

I wish I had more to show for these last four weeks but that just goes to show me how quickly four weeks passes and how I could work way harder and in four weeks see more progress! I mean, I think I can.  The only thing is I'm breastfeeding and I don't know if that will hinder my ability to lose weight and gain muscle and overall change my body... I guess I'll find out because I am continuing on!

Also, btw, this afternoon got really difficult when I found out my husband was going to be later with picking me up for work, but I haven't had any treats... which is hard... plus I'm going to have some of my Deen Brother's Chocolate Truffle Pie that I made for a BBQ with our friends tonight! But then, later... Week 1 Legs with husband.
