Well, it's getting quite hot here these days. I lost my phone this past Sunday (hopefully it turns up soon as in someone found it at church and turned it in, fingers crossed) so I haven't been keeping up with what the temperature actually is since I don't have my app. But, I'm pretty sure it's in the mid to upper 90's most days. And I don't mind it actually. I say a lot "it's soooooo hot" in a dramatic way, but I have to say, I don't really ever want winter to come again... Just thinking about it I get bummed. I told Layton this week, I want to move somewhere where it's like summer all year round. He said OK :)
I went to the pool on Saturday with my sister, Shahn, and her baby, Annika, who I am just absolutely in love with. The pool was quite crowded but I didn't mind it too much. We just stayed in the 3 foot deep splash pad pool the whole time and Annika loved it. She had a little fit when we left it. She also just wanted to hold our hands and walk around like the whole time, even on the burning hot cement. She loved splashing and kicking in the water. She is just so precious, I get so excited around her to have my own baby. Which, speaking of. I had a dream last night that the baby came (it was a girl and I was totally shocked about why I was surprised about that in my dream and then I was like oh yeah! She's only 17 weeks and we didn't even have time to get the ultrasound!) and I was sooo nervous because she was only as far along as I am now - 17 weeks. She was beautiful and looked great but they still had to take her away since she was technically suuuuuper premie (I don't think babies survive at 17 weeks outside of the womb) but I think all was okay. I was so nervous and in the dream I was like "I totally did this because I kept saying how I just wanted the baby to be here already so I like made her come!" haha I was very distraught over it. It was the first pregnant/baby dream I've had since becoming pregnant, so that was exciting :)
I had a Dr.'s appointment yesterday and was able to hear the reassuring sound of the baby's heartbeat. It felt like it had been forever (only 4 weeks) and it was so nice to hear that it was still beating and that hopefully all is well. I scheduled an appointment to get my ultrasound next week and we are hoping verrry much that we'll be able to find out the gender! I feel very confident about being able to find out, but we'll just have to wait and see... I'm so excited!! I went to a cloth diapering class last night with my sister and it was very informative and I'm pretty much sold on doing cloth diapers. Plus, they are sooo dang cute! The covers that they make, I could hardly resist the ones for newborns. Little foxes and flowers ahhhh, so cute. Half the women were like, this almost makes me want to have another baby... and I just thought how happy and excited I am that I AM having a baby!
We went and saw Jurassic World this past weekend in IMAX 3D. Talk about intense. I could not believe how massive that screen was! It was sooooo huge. I'm not the biggest fan of 3D but it ended up being okay. The movie also was okay. I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't see it again. Lots of death which was sad and I was sad at how scared the little boy was in it. But I still enjoyed the experience and being with my Layton :)
